The Prime Minister of Malaysia, Dato' Sri Haji Mohammad Najib bin Tun Haji Abdul Razak has announced the dissolution of parliament of Malaysia in a live nationwide telecast at 11.30am on 03 April 2013. No nomination date has yet been provided by the Election Commission. The Malaysian general election must be held no later than 27 June 2013. The constitutional parliamentary term in Malaysia is five years, after which the Federal Parliament must be dissolved by the Yang di-Pertuan Agong on the advice of the Prime Minister as pertained in the Malaysian laws for national elections.

Background
The ruling Barisan Nasional coalition was returned in the 2008 general elections with 140 seats, while the opposition Pakatan Rakyat coalition won 82 seats, thereby denying the BN its two-thirds majority which is required to pass amendments to the Federal Constitution.
Pakatan Rakyat also gained five of the 13 state assemblies (has since lost one state assembly-Perak to BN due to defection) and 10 of the 11 parliamentary seats in the Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur. That was the first major setback of the BN since the 1969 general elections.
I am getting exicted about this coming election and decided to write some statistic report. I try to gather information about the voters racial composition, parliamentary and state assembly seats according to State. I will write base on multiple reliable sources which I will cites at the end of the article.
Kindly take note that, I am NOT writing about political talk which may bias to any coalition. I am strictly accumulating reports and statistic for records purpose only. So stay tuned...
